A "focus list" (my invention) is a list of all the activities that I currently prioritize and spend my time on, either on a daily or weekly basis.

This list includes everything that I do, whether it be work, chores, socializing, or leisure.

The purpose of this list is to help me keep track of how I spend my time, so that I don't get involved in too many activities.

The list is therefore meant to help me to "focus" on my priorities, and is designed to be regularly pruned.

Loving

I eat breakfast with my wife every morning, and we go to bed at the same every evening. That's when we spend most of our quality time during work days. We also spend most of Saturdays and Sundays together. Finally, we have two cats, Aiko (born October 1, 2019) and Mimi (born May 7, 2023), with whom we like to spend time playing and cuddling.

Socializing

We go to church every Saturday morning. We also have three friends, close to our age, who live nearby and whom occasionally spend time with. I also text chat with them a lot on WhatsApp. Otherwise, most of my social interaction takes place online, either via Apple Messages, with two long-time friends, via Discord with ten servers (three of which I'm daily active on), or via Tildes.

Working

I currently work for a company that is a wholesale retailer for vegan and organic food products, which also has its own small store in the city. My job is to deliver our products to the store and to our wholesale clients (restaurants, shops, schools, etc.). My work hours vary a lot, but I mostly work between 10 AM to 5 PM. I make 7 EUR an hour (before taxes), and usually work above 120 hours every month. Apart from work, I also have chores to do, such as buying the groceries, washing the dishes, taking out the trash, etc. I think of these and my work as "inescapable responsibilities", so I count them all together.

Reading

My wife and I go to bed at the same time every evening, at 9 PM, and we wake up at the same time every day at 5 AM. This allows each of us to have a few minutes for devotional reading in the morning, followed by a short joint devotional reading. I also try to read a book for at least 30 minutes afterwards. On the Internet, I occasionally read xkcd and blogs on Bear.

Writing

I am currently working on my second book, but I publish most of my writing on five blogs on Bear: one for essays on spirituality, one for essays on general topics, one for dating advice, one for micro-blogging, and another one for journaling my gaming experiences. I also occasionally write for a sixth blog that I collaborate on with online friends.

Playing

I try to play a little bit of Animal Crossing: New Horizons on my Nintendo Switch 2 every day. The other game that I am currently playing through is Hollow Knight. My console is the only device that I game on.

Watching

YouTube is my "television". I pay for their premium subscription. Most of the channels that I am subscribed to publish infrequently, so I watch on average two videos a day. Here's the list of the channels that I'm subscribed to:
